Moi

Greetings! My name is Linda Latuszek and I already know many of you in the class, but I am excited to make new friends! The blog I am creating is a great practice opportunity before I will need to create my own class blog once I start teaching. It is one more tool in my teaching toolbox.

My CT at Sprayberry used a daily class blog to ensure her students could stay on top of all the class work. Students who were absent didn’t have to get behind in their work, and student who missed an assignment or forgot to turn in an assignment could check themselves daily. This seemed like such a great method of communicating with the students. Actually, it was a great way to communicate to anyone who wanted to check in on her class. Parents, colleagues, administrators, and even student teachers could open the blog and read the daily activities and assignments. It was efficient and effective.

I’m starting a career in education later than many of my classmates. I had a long career in the corporate world and retired early. I started teaching right away because I needed work that mattered to me and that changed lives. Now I’m on the road to being certified so I can teach high school. I love working with adolescents and being their support and coach. The beauty of working with young people is how much they teach me about technology. Their facility and comfort with technology eases my anxiety about all the introduction of new electronic media. And, what student doesn’t love to teach the teacher!

HERE is a little more information about me 🙂

Your friend and colleague,

Linda
